The rules

Short, permanent, and published before anyone has to ask. These are the terms of the deed.

1. 1,440 minutes. One owner each. Forever. No new inventory, ever — no seconds, no premium minutes, no second clock on this domain, and nothing that takes a second away from an owner.
2. A minute cannot be taken from you. It cannot be outbid or revoked. The one exception is a content-rule violation, which blanks or unlinks the display — it never transfers ownership.
3. Prices are printed at launch and never change. The map below is the map.
4. Owners edit their own display. Name, line and link, any time. Edits pass the same screening as purchases.
5. 14-day refunds, no questions. A refunded minute returns to the map at its printed price. After 14 days, ownership is final.
6. If the site ever shuts down — “forever” means the life of the site — the final clock is archived publicly and every owner is named in the permanent record.
7. Passing a minute on costs $49, flat, at every tier. A minute may be handed to a new owner, but only through the official transfer here. Seller and buyer agree their price privately, off this site; we never broker it, hold it, show it, or take a cut of it. We charge for the paperwork, not for the price. (The transfer itself is still being built; the fee is printed now so the official channel exists from the start.)

   And the permanent rule, worded so it never has to be walked back: nobody can bid on, make an offer on, or list a minute whose owner has not chosen to sell it. Owners never defend what they hold. If this site — or any sister venue — ever adds a way to sell, it will be owner-initiated listings only, announced in advance, with this rule intact. An offer button is a siege engine pointed at every owner, and we are not building one.

   Editing your display stays free, forever — and that is not a loophole. Ownership is the control email: the address that can edit, transfer and refund. Changing the name, line or link on a minute moves nothing. If you pay someone for a minute and the deed is not re-issued to your email through the official transfer, you own nothing. The seller still holds the edit rights, the refund window and the deed, and can change it all back whenever they like.

8. Daylight saving. The clock runs in your local time. Where daylight saving is observed, the 2 AM hour is skipped one night a year and repeats one night a year. Owners of 2:00–2:59 AM get one short night and one double feature, annually. Everywhere else, and every other day, every minute performs exactly once.

The map

These figures are generated from the same module the checkout charges from, and a test asserts them on every build. They cannot drift apart.
